Spectators: 7584 (Terracing: 5689, Seating: 1744, VIP seats: 151) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Victor Nuțu got the match started through his kick off. When Victor Nuțu came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Fotbal Club Craiova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Nuțu couldn't finish the play. Panait Cojocaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tudor Bărboianu having to interfere. After having played for 8 minutes, Victor Nuțu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fotbal Club Craiova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Nuțu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cătălin Ciociu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lupeni FCM's goalkeeper Tudor Bărboianu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 14thth minute of the game Victor Nuțu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lupeni FCM's Tudor Bărboianu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Lupeni FCM's goal looked a bit too open when Stelian Durbac came free, but Tudor Bărboianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Fotbal Club Craiova's Victor Nuțu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tudor Bărboianu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Radu Obregia, 20 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Victor Nuțu might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tudor Bărboianu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Nuțu ran back to his position shaking his head. Cătălin Ciociu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 28 minutes into the match, Fotbal Club Craiova's Marcel Bobeanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tudor Bărboianu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marcel Bobeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tudor Bărboianu having to interfere. Cătălin Ciociu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tudor Bărboianu having to make a save. Cătălin Ciociu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tudor Bărboianu having to make a save. 47 minutes into the match, Cătălin Ciociu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tudor Bărboianu. Lupeni FCM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cătălin Ciociu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Victor Nuțu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fotbal Club Craiova's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Nuțu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tudor Bărboianu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tudor Bărboianu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Nuțu, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The long shot by Panait Cojocaru in the 57th minute really tested Tudor Bărboianu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Victor Nuțus short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Tudor Bărboianu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fotbal Club Craiova's Panait Cojocaru got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victor Nuțu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tudor Bărboianu came out and tried to block the shot, but Victor Nuțu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 61st minute. Codruț Sărăroiu kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Panait Cojocaru was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 65th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Lupeni FCM defense, Victor Nuțu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tudor Bărboianu. The Lupeni FCM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tudor Bărboianu should have stopped the shot. When Damian Popilean fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fotbal Club Craiova's protests and gave Damian Popilean a yellow card for diving instead. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fotbal Club Craiova! Tudor Bărboianu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Nuțu's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Victor Nuțu took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tudor Bărboianu. Tudor Bărboianu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. In the 84th minute Victor Nuțu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tudor Bărboianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fotbal Club Craiova's Cătălin Ciociu got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victor Nuțu let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 89th minute shot 1-7 at rihgt post. Lupeni FCM's Tudor Bărboianu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Lupeni FCM from getting a goal against them. In the 95thth minute of the game Victor Nuțu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lupeni FCM's Tudor Bărboianu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 97th minute, Victor Nuțu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 99th minute Stelian Durbac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tudor Bărboianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fotbal Club Craiova's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
