Spectators: 7477 (Terracing: 5609, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dacian Şimoc kicked off to start the match. Cosmin Crușeveanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Codrin Magherescu having to interfere. If Dacian Şimoc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentin Beligan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 18th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Vasile Baba. After having played for 24 minutes, Doru Păunescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ulm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Doru Păunescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doru Păunescu scored 2-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valentin Beligan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st minute Cezar Hidiș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codrin Magherescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ulm's goalkeeper Codrin Magherescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st match minute, Ulm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Barascu to maneuver through the defense.

The wind increased when Cezar Hidiș made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Ulm's Paul Barascu made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valentin Beligan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vasile Baba kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Cezar Hidiș ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Codrin Magherescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Doru Păunescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valentin Beligan having to make a save. Codrin Magherescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cezar Hidiș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Ulm defense, Cosmin Crușeveanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Codrin Magherescu. The Ulm fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Codrin Magherescu should have stopped the shot. Cosmin Crușeveanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Codrin Magherescu made a huge save. Cosmin Crușeveanu struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Codrin Magherescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catelesti CSS. Cosmin Crușeveanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Codrin Magherescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Ulm's Codrin Magherescu got control of the ball when Cosmin Crușeveanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ulm's Codrin Magherescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cezar Hidiș in the 96th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
