Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fotbal Club Craiova's Victor Nuțu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Cacova getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Dan Rogoz hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cătălin Ciociu in the 5th minute of play forced Cacova's goalkeeper Sandu Bîlbă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cătălin Ciociu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cazimir Pătrășconiu kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Cacova's Petrică Andronescu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 9th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Fotbal Club Craiova. Cacova's Sandu Bîlbă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Nuțu in the 13th minute of play. After 14 minutes, Panait Cojocaru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fotbal Club Craiova and the Cacova players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 played minutes Fotbal Club Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Panait Cojocaru. 17 minutes into the match, Cacova's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Bobeanu came free, but Sandu Bîlbă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Nuțu in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sandu Bîlbă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sandu Bîlbă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cătălin Ciociu, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After 27 minutes of play, Fotbal Club Craiova's Victor Nuțu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sandu Bîlbă was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Cacova getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Mihail Balint hit a great ball. Damian Popilean's late challenge caught a Cacova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Popilean helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Fotbal Club Craiova's Damian Popilean got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Dan Rogoz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicolae Hâjdău having to make a save. In the 36th minute, Mihail Balint hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Cacova defense, Victor Nuțu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sandu Bîlbă. The Cacova fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sandu Bîlbă should have stopped the shot. Sandu Bîlbă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Nuțu, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Sandu Bîlbă came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Fotbal Club Craiova's Victor Nuțu. But to his dismay, Victor Nuțu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3.

The wind increased when Flavius Mihoc made the kick off in the second half. Sandu Bîlbă stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Nuțu's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Nuțu in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sandu Bîlbă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Cacova's Cazimir Borăscu got a free kick in the 56th minute. Sandu Bîlbă was a little too slow when Victor Nuțu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-4. In the 61st minute, Fotbal Club Craiova's Victor Nuțu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sandu Bîlbă. Sandu Bîlbă yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. In the 65th minute, Victor Nuțu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sandu Bîlbă. The goal made the score 0-6. If Victor Nuțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Fotbal Club Craiova's Victor Nuțu got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 79th minute of the match, Victor Nuțu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sandu Bîlbă was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Marcel Bobeanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sandu Bîlbă having to make a save. With a little luck, Cacova's Sandu Bîlbă got control of the ball when Victor Nuțu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sandu Bîlbă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cătălin Ciociu, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Stelian Durbac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Sandu Bîlbă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandu Bîlbă acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 92nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Iacob Achimescu. 95 minutes into the game, Victor Nuțu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sandu Bîlbă. Victor Nuțu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fotbal Club Craiova eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
