Valentin Beligan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vlad Lupșoiu in the 13th minute of play. Calistrat Teodoreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cezar Hidiș in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosmin Crușeveanu in the 22nd minute of play forced FC Barcelona's goalkeeper Calistrat Teodoreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Catelesti CSS booed when FC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basarab Răduțu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cezar Hidiș in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Calistrat Teodoreanu saved FC Barcelona from getting behind. Valentin Beligan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vlad Lupșoiu in the 31st minute of play. With a little luck, Catelesti CSS's Valentin Beligan got control of the ball when Virgil Gavruță tried to sneak it across the goal line. Virgil Gavruță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Beligan having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, Catelesti CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manole Rădulescu to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vlad Lupșoiu to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Catelesti CSS's goalkeeper Valentin Beligan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valentin Beligan came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Barcelona's Virgil Gavruță. But to his dismay, Virgil Gavruță quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 70 minutes into the game, Cosmin Crușeveanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catelesti CSS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Barcelona the free kick. Valentin Beligan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgil Gavruță, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After 77 minutes, Virgil Gavruță mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Barcelona and the Catelesti CSS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 78th match minute, FC Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgil Gavruță to maneuver through the defense.
