With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Nuțu in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Calistrat Teodoreanu saved FC Barcelona from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vlad Lupșoiu in the 12th minute of play forced Fotbal Club Craiova's goalkeeper Nicolae Hâjdău to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Fotbal Club Craiova's Mădălin Banciu got a free kick in the 13th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Barcelona's zone, Victor Nuțu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calistrat Teodoreanu came out of the goal and Victor Nuțu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victor Nuțu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calistrat Teodoreanu having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cătălin Ciociu in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Calistrat Teodoreanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Victor Nuțu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Calistrat Teodoreanu was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Iacob Achimescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Calistrat Teodoreanu. FC Barcelona's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 47th match minute, Fotbal Club Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidiu Zăhărescu to maneuver through the defense. FC Barcelona's Marcel Chițu got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mădălin Banciu might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Calistrat Teodoreanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mădălin Banciu ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in FC Barcelona's zone, Marcel Bobeanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calistrat Teodoreanu came out of the goal and Marcel Bobeanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Calistrat Teodoreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Bobeanu in the 82nd minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, FC Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basarab Răduțu to maneuver through the defense. Victor Nuțu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Calistrat Teodoreanu came out and tried to block the shot, but Victor Nuțu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 83rd minute. Fotbal Club Craiova's Victor Nuțu got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Calistrat Teodoreanu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Marcel Bobeanu. Marcel Chițu hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Victor Nuțu did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Calistrat Teodoreanu 92 minutes into the match. If Victor Nuțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Fotbal Club Craiova left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Barcelona.
