FC Barcelona's Vlad Lupșoiu got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliodor Varga made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Virgil Gavruță sent off a good shot on target. Calistrat Teodoreanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silviu Lazăr's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vlad Lupșoiu made a kick off. Marin Avram kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Calistrat Teodoreanu was a little too slow when Silviu Lazăr got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 1-1. Eliodor Varga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgil Gavruță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ionuț Hagi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FC Barcelona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C. Gunners the free kick. Ionuț Hagi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. F.C. Gunners were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
