But to his dismay, Augustin Plopșor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A very good chance. 44 minutes in the game, Horia Acatincăi dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Martin Ilieș's late challenge caught a Dinamo Bucuresti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Ilieș helped the player get up and apologised.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augustin Plopșor couldn't finish the play. After 78 minutes of play, Dinamo Bucuresti's Moise Șipoș made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moise Șipoș in the 100th minute of play forced Delta Rapid's goalkeeper Valeriu Robu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Delta Rapid players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dinamo Bucuresti.
