A collision led to F.C Voinicelul getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ion Vulpescu hit a great ball. Nistor Pintilie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Abutnăriței having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Toader Barbu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viorel Mineață stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Lelescu in the 51st minute of play forced AC MILAN's goalkeeper Anton Cerghizan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toader Barbu took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anton Cerghizan. Anton Cerghizan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 64th minute, AC MILAN's Nistor Pintilie dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. F.C Voinicelul's Romeo Abutnăriței played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nae Malcocea in the 71st minute of play. When Nae Malcocea came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the AC MILAN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nae Malcocea couldn't finish the play. F.C Voinicelul's Toader Barbu got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, AC MILAN's goal looked a bit too open when Viorel Mineață came free, but Anton Cerghizan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The AC MILAN players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented F.C Voinicelul from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
