A collision led to AC MILAN getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Ionică Cosariu hit a great ball. In the 20th match minute, Rivulus CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Găvănescu to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Nae Malcocea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adam Ghionescu was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. AC MILAN's Felix Miulescu suffered a sore thigh after 25 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 87th minute, Rareș Vătavu fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Anton Cerghizan, passed just outside the right post. 93 minutes into the match, Rareș Vătavu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anton Cerghizan. AC MILAN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rareș Vătavu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The AC MILAN supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rivulus CF's performance. The match ended with a win for Rivulus CF.
