Spectators: 6827 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Costin Chirea started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costin Chirea in the 5th minute of play forced -MAD- Reborn Ghiroda's goalkeeper Tiberiu Nițisor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiberiu Nițisor came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Rivulus CF's Rareș Vătavu. But to his dismay, Rareș Vătavu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Irinel Oprescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Rivulus CF's Costin Chirea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tiberiu Nițisor. That made the score 2-0 after 21 minutes of play. If Ion Vrânceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 minutes, Emil Găvănescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rivulus CF and the -MAD- Reborn Ghiroda players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rivulus CF getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Emil Găvănescu hit a great ball. The supporters of -MAD- Reborn Ghiroda booed when Rivulus CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isac Glăvan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Irinel Oprescu was the one to do the kick off. Rareș Vătavu struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Tiberiu Nițisor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rivulus CF. After having played for 54 minutes, Rareș Vătavu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rivulus CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rareș Vătavu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ion Vrânceanu in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adam Ghionescu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tiberiu Nițisor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costin Chirea in the 64th minute of play. Costin Chirea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiberiu Nițisor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rareș Vătavu in the 68th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Irinel Oprescu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Adam Ghionescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irinel Oprescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Irinel Oprescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Rareș Vătavu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adam Ghionescu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bogdan Doman. In the 88th minute, Rivulus CF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ion Vrânceanu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Costin Chirea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Nițisor having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rivulus CF fans cheered their team off the field, for while -MAD- Reborn Ghiroda had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
