Kataloi's Viorel Abraham proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Kataloi from getting a goal against them. Nechifor Oncescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gheorghe Beligan having to interfere. If Petrică Borogeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute Nechifor Oncescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gheorghe Beligan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavian Ţăranu hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Traian Dudea during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Traian Dudea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute of the match Irinel Tuleiu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gheorghe Beligan skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Aurelian Enoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a defensive mix-up in Kataloi's zone, Manole Şania stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viorel Abraham came out of the goal and Manole Şania tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Architects's Cosmin Stanomir slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Viorel Abraham. That made the score 1-0 after 44 minutes of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Manole Şania struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Viorel Abraham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Architects. In the 57th minute Aurelian Enoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viorel Abraham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Codruț Georgescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurelian Enoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viorel Abraham having to interfere. If Codruț Georgescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Gheorghe Beligan managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Kataloi's Nechifor Oncescu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 79th minute, Nechifor Oncescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gheorghe Beligan made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Nechifor Oncescu sent off a good shot on target. Petrică Borogeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nechifor Oncescu in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gheorghe Beligan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gheorghe Beligan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petrică Borogeanu in the 97th minute of the match. Kataloi were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
