After having played for 7 minutes, Costel Verzeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garliste's supporters crossed their fingers, but Costel Verzeanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute, Ionuț Nicoliță made a precise shot to the right of Petre Ignea. FC THERMOSYSTEM's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Petre Ignea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionuț Nicoliță, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute Petru Buș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petre Ignea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costel Verzeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Petre Ignea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Ionuț Nicoliță had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Petre Ignea. FC THERMOSYSTEM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ionuț Nicoliță was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Petre Ignea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Bilașco went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Francisc Curcă hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. If Costel Verzeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petre Ignea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Costel Verzeanu's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. After 43 played minutes Garliste got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Volosin. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Petrică Omescu made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Bogdan Angheluș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petre Ignea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, FC THERMOSYSTEM's Petre Ignea got control of the ball when Costel Verzeanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bogdan Angheluș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The goalkeeper, Petre Ignea, was totally fooled by Garliste's Sever Oroian, who 61 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Costel Verzeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petre Ignea having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Garliste's Bogdan Angheluș dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. After 75 played minutes Garliste got a freekick which was hit by David Bilașco. FC THERMOSYSTEM's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Costel Verzeanu scored to the left of an out of position Petre Ignea, making the score, 0-7. Francisc Curcă hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the match, FC THERMOSYSTEM's goalkeeper Petre Ignea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ionuț Nicoliță. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petrică Omescu in the 87th minute of play forced Garliste's goalkeeper Aurelian Popean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Bogdan Angheluș took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Petre Ignea to make any attempt to save it. 93 minutes into the match, Garliste's goal looked a bit too open when Petrică Omescu came free, but Aurelian Popean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sabin Elefterescu during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Garliste booed when FC THERMOSYSTEM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sabin Elefterescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The FC THERMOSYSTEM fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Garliste were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
