Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Petrică Borogeanu got the match started through his kick off. Nechifor Oncescu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Pavel Ruşdea when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Irinel Gherghescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Pavel Ruşdea made a huge save. With his leg Pavel Ruşdea managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Kataloi's Nechifor Oncescu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 9 minutes into the game, Kataloi's Irinel Gherghescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pavel Ruşdea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. A hard shot 12 in the game by Nechifor Oncescu from a close distance when the talented Pavel Ruşdea managed to make a qualified save. FC Sustiu's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petrică Borogeanu in the 16th minute of play forced FC Sustiu's goalkeeper Pavel Ruşdea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Nechifor Oncescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pavel Ruşdea. FC Sustiu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nechifor Oncescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 22 minutes in the game Irinel Tuleiu did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Alexandru Teodoroiu. FC Sustiu's Pavel Ruşdea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pompiliu Postolache in the 25th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Kataloi's Pavel Ruşdea threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Petrică Borogeanu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, FC Sustiu's Pavel Ruşdea got control of the ball when Irinel Gherghescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Albert Bulzan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 30 minutes into the match. When Irinel Tuleiu came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Kataloi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Irinel Tuleiu couldn't finish the play. The throw-in from Alexandru Teodoroiu in the 35th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Sustiu's Panait Drăgoescu. In the 36th match minute, Kataloi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nechifor Oncescu to maneuver through the defense. FC Sustiu's attentive Panait Drăgoescu managed to snatch the ball when Alexandru Teodoroiu made a throw-in in the 38th minute of the game. Alexandru Teodoroiu got a throw-in 39 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Petrică Borogeanu. In the 41st minute Pompiliu Postolache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Ruşdea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Pompiliu Postolache lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Pavel Ruşdea. Nechifor Oncescu came free with the goalkeeper in the 45th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pavel Ruşdea could save by the left post. In the 47th minute, Kataloi's Irinel Gherghescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pavel Ruşdea. Pavel Ruşdea yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcu Văcărescu was the one to do the kick off. Alexandru Teodoroiu made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Sustiu's Șerban Vâlcu. In the 55th minute Petrică Borogeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Ruşdea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pavel Ruşdea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petrică Borogeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Pavel Ruşdea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petrică Borogeanu in the 60th minute of play. After 61 minutes of play, Kataloi's Irinel Gherghescu made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pavel Ruşdea was left in no man's land by his defense there! 66 minutes into the match, FC Sustiu's goal looked a bit too open when Petrică Borogeanu came free, but Pavel Ruşdea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, Marcu Văcărescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Viorel Abraham was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 72 minutes into the game, Irinel Tuleiu threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Sustiu's Panait Drăgoescu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Marcu Văcărescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Sustiu's attentive Panait Drăgoescu managed to snatch the ball when Irinel Tuleiu made a throw-in in the 75th minute of the game. In the 76thth minute of the game Marcu Văcărescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kataloi's Viorel Abraham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pavel Ruşdea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petrică Borogeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Marcu Văcărescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viorel Abraham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match Irinel Tuleiu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pavel Ruşdea skillfully saved the ball. Alexandru Teodoroiu made in the 90th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Sustiu's Panait Drăgoescu. 92 minutes into the match, Pompiliu Postolache had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pavel Ruşdea. FC Sustiu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pompiliu Postolache was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kataloi fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Sustiu had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
