Spectators: 6718 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Felix Muncelean started the match with the kick off. Dacian Tuleiu came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Steaua LM's Pompiliu Gaciu. But to his dismay, Pompiliu Gaciu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Oslobeni's Gigi Zamfira got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gigi Zamfira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Ciprian Zdrelea made a huge save. 16 minutes into the game, Felix Ploieșteanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Dacian Tuleiu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Felix Ploieșteanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dacian Tuleiu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Ploieșteanu ran back to his position shaking his head. Felix Ploieșteanu struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Dacian Tuleiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Steaua LM. Filip Minculescu's late challenge caught a Steaua LM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filip Minculescu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Oslobeni's Filip Minculescu got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute, Toader Aldulea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gigi Zamfira got free in front of the goal in the 29th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ciprian Zdrelea was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Pompiliu Gaciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dacian Tuleiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pompiliu Gaciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute Pompiliu Gaciu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Tuleiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciprian Zdrelea made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Gigi Zamfira sent off a good shot on target. Dacian Tuleiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pompiliu Gaciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Felix Muncelean was extremely unlucky when he, in the 44th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Felix Muncelean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felix Ploieșteanu was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Oslobeni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dragoş Gorgan to maneuver through the defense. If Pompiliu Gaciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Felix Ploieșteanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dacian Tuleiu made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Pompiliu Gaciu sent off a good shot on target. Ciprian Zdrelea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Muncelean in the 69th minute of the match. Pompiliu Gaciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Steaua LM's Ciprian Zdrelea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigi Zamfira in the 79th minute of play. The supporters of Steaua LM booed when Oslobeni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cazimir Verzea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgil Iuzbașa was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 87th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Pompiliu Gaciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Dacian Tuleiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filip Minculescu kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Steaua LM were awarded a corner in the 93th minute after Oslobeni's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Virgil Iuzbașa took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Virgil Iuzbașa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dacian Tuleiu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Steaua LM supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Steaua LM would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
