The Ciucani fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mihnea Braru should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sorin Boeru during the 16th minute. After 16 played minutes Ciucani got a freekick which was hit by Sorin Boeru. deCode F.C.'s Cristi Pietreanu got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristi Pietreanu in the 24th minute of play forced Ciucani's goalkeeper Mihnea Braru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florin Gherghe's late challenge caught a Ciucani's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Eric Ghișerel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ciucani fans cheered their team off the field, for while deCode F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
