But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Berca couldn't finish the play. Paul Berca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marius Hortopan having to interfere. Marius Hortopan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Constantin Filip went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Olimpiu Maghear showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nae Pavelescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Marius Hortopan made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Constantin Filip sent off a good shot on target. Paul Berca might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marius Hortopan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paul Berca ran back to his position shaking his head. The Doar Dinamo Bucuresti fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Doar Dinamo Bucuresti's Nae Pavelescu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lucian Covaliu's late challenge caught a Doar Dinamo Bucuresti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucian Covaliu helped the player get up and apologised. After 34 played minutes Yassi got a freekick which was hit by Lucian Covaliu. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yassi's goalkeeper Olimpiu Maghear, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner led Doar Dinamo Bucuresti's Ciprian Vulcănescu to fire away a dangerous shot which Olimpiu Maghear despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Constantin Filip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
