Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Yassi's supporters rose to their feet, but Paul Berca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugen Șeicaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olimpiu Maghear took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrei Buculeasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matei Ivănescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Olimpiu Maghear tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugen Șeicaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Berca in the 12th minute of play. Yassi's Olimpiu Maghear proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Yassi from getting a goal against them. When Mlecanesti's Andrei Buculeasa in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 47thth minute of the game Andrei Buculeasa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yassi's Olimpiu Maghear was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paul Berca made a kick off. Matei Ivănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Matei Ivănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 58 minutes into the match, Yassi's goal looked a bit too open when Andrei Buculeasa came free, but Olimpiu Maghear reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Andrei Buculeasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olimpiu Maghear. Yassi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrei Buculeasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olimpiu Maghear prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Andrei Buculeasa put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Olimpiu Maghear. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Ostoici during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Yassi getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. David Ostoici hit a great ball. When Mlecanesti's Matei Ivănescu in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Yassi's goalie prevented a goal. Mlecanesti's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
