Spectators: 7495 (Terracing: 5622, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fabian Grecu kicked off to start the match. Vintilă Voitiş made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Pompiliu Jupâneanu sent off a good shot on target. In the 7th minute, Gelu Grigoriu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Yassi's Paul Berca in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mexicanii's goalie prevented a goal. Yassi's Olimpiu Maghear played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Grecu in the 12th minute of play. Cristi Lopatnicu's late challenge caught a Yassi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristi Lopatnicu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th match minute, Mexicanii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristi Lopatnicu to maneuver through the defense. Paul Berca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Vintilă Voitiş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Yassi defense, Fabian Grecu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olimpiu Maghear. The Yassi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olimpiu Maghear should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Paul Berca took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Vintilă Voitiş to make any attempt to save it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 53rd minute, Paul Berca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yassi's Constantin Filip got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Mexicanii getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Iustinian Onitiu hit a great ball. Constantin Filip took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vintilă Voitiş. Vintilă Voitiş dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 70th minute, Constantin Filip made a precise shot to the right of Vintilă Voitiş. Mexicanii's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Gică Păltineanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Olimpiu Maghear tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Yassi's Sorin Bogdan got a free kick in the 75th minute. With an all-out effort, Mexicanii's Olimpiu Maghear threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fabian Grecu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Constantin Filip in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vintilă Voitiş prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vintilă Voitiş stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paul Berca's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute Constantin Filip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vintilă Voitiş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gică Păltineanu struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Olimpiu Maghear didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexicanii. Yassi's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
