Ştefan Răuțu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristi Lopatnicu kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 12thth minute of the game Mihnea Mangra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexicanii's Vintilă Voitiş was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vintilă Voitiş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihnea Mangra in the 15th minute of the match. Ştefan Răuțu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 19th minute, Gică Păltineanu fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cristi Mustăcilă, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihnea Mangra in the 21st minute of play forced Mexicanii's goalkeeper Vintilă Voitiş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toader Goga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vintilă Voitiş having to interfere. Vintilă Voitiş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihnea Mangra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ştefan Răuțu in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vintilă Voitiş saved Mexicanii from getting behind. Vintilă Voitiş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihnea Mangra, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Vintilă Voitiş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihnea Mangra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Mexicanii getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Gelu Grigoriu hit a great ball. 48 minutes into the game, Mihnea Mangra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Vintilă Voitiş was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half AG FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabian Grecu to make the kick off. Mihnea Mangra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vintilă Voitiş having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mexicanii's zone, Ştefan Răuțu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vintilă Voitiş came out of the goal and Ştefan Răuțu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ştefan Răuțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 74 minutes into the game, Călin Izbașa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexicanii's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AG FC the free kick. In the 73rd minute, one of Mexicanii:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mexicanii. When the match had been going on for 75 minutes, AG FC's Iordache Cantemir got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vintilă Voitiş. Ştefan Răuțu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Mexicanii's Vintilă Voitiş got control of the ball when Mihnea Mangra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ştefan Răuțu struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Vintilă Voitiş didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AG FC. Ştefan Răuțu might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vintilă Voitiş. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ştefan Răuțu ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Mexicanii's Gelu Grigoriu got a free kick in the 90th minute. Mihnea Mangra in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vintilă Voitiş, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vintilă Voitiş stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ştefan Răuțu's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. After 93 played minutes Mexicanii got a freekick which was hit by Cristi Lopatnicu. After a defensive mix-up in Mexicanii's zone, Mihnea Mangra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vintilă Voitiş came out of the goal and Mihnea Mangra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ştefan Răuțu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vintilă Voitiş having to interfere. If Mihnea Mangra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AG FC played a much better game than Mexicanii and deserved their victory. The Mexicanii players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
