Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Evanescent's Petrică Stroia started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romeo Moți got free with Silviu Minulescu in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hurjena's Romeo Moți got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Viorel Pâslaru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ernest Hârciog went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Constantin Micu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo Moți recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Constantin Micu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 23rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Evanescent getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Eugen Zotincă hit a great ball. With his leg Silviu Minulescu managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Hurjena's Romeo Moți fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Constantin Micu struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Silviu Minulescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hurjena. 41 minutes into the match, Hurjena's Romeo Moți sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silviu Minulescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd minute Constantin Micu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silviu Minulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Constantin Micu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 47 minutes, Romeo Moți managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hurjena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeo Moți was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Evanescent were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Constantin Micu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantin Micu in the 54th minute of play forced Evanescent's goalkeeper Silviu Minulescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Constantin Micu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Silviu Minulescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 59 minutes into the match, Evanescent's goal looked a bit too open when Constantin Micu came free, but Silviu Minulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silviu Minulescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantin Micu in the 62nd minute of the match. David Barbă shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Viorel Pâslaru successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 74 minutes into the game, Marian Griguță was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hurjena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Evanescent the free kick. In the 74th match minute, Hurjena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marian Griguță to maneuver through the defense. Viorel Pâslaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petrică Stroia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viorel Pâslaru was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ernest Hârciog showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 80 minute of play. Petrică Stroia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petrică Stroia in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Viorel Pâslaru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hurjena's Viorel Pâslaru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Hurjena from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Evanescent's zone, Romeo Moți stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silviu Minulescu came out of the goal and Romeo Moți tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Romeo Moți came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Hurjena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeo Moți couldn't finish the play. Hurjena's Romeo Moți got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Silviu Minulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernest Bivolaru in the 96th minute of play. The Hurjena supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Evanescent's performance. The match ended with a win for Evanescent.
