The tension between the FC YoUnG BoYs and the Chisirid FCM players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC YoUnG BoYs fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! Cornel Lucrețiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Lucian Covaci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC YoUnG BoYs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cornel Lucrețiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cornel Lucrețiu during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Chisirid FCM booed when FC YoUnG BoYs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornel Lucrețiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Liviu Moarcăș charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Chisirid FCM's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edgar Vârnav ran over to the corner to take the kick. FC YoUnG BoYs's Eugen Avramescu managed to work through Chisirid FCM's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Eugen Avramescu dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The FC YoUnG BoYs players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chisirid FCM were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eugen Avramescu made a kick off.
