When Vulcez CSM's Ivan Fetanu in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rapid 1923's goalie prevented a goal. If Nae Nițescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the game, Remus Savu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rapid 1923's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vulcez CSM the free kick. After a rather tough play, Rapid 1923's Remus Savu got a free kick in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Hănescu in the 23rd minute of play forced Rapid 1923's goalkeeper Nicolae Mironescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Maniu made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Nae Nițescu sent off a good shot on target. Nae Nițescu got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-0 in the right cross in the 29th match minute before Robert Maniu had time to react. 32 minutes into the game, Ivan Fetanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nicolae Mironescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Rapid 1923's Traian Pelin got a free kick in the 37th minute. A very nice done corner allowed Virgil Iosub to score against Nicolae Mironescu in Rapid 1923's goal. 1-2 after 40 minutes. Nicolae Mironescu came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Vulcez CSM's Ivan Fetanu. But to his dismay, Ivan Fetanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Robert Maniu made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Traian Pelin sent off a good shot on target. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Claudiu Mocanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rapid 1923's Nae Nițescu got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robert Maniu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nae Nițescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Maniu came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Rapid 1923's Claudiu Mocanu. But to his dismay, Claudiu Mocanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. In the 75th minute Ivan Fetanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolae Mironescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remus Savu got his second yellow card in the match during the 78th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 79th minute, Remus Savu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robert Maniu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nae Nițescu in the 92nd minute of the match. If Nae Nițescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vulcez CSM eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
