Spectators: 7512 (Terracing: 5673, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 100) Eduard Hapaina started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 4 minutes into the game, Valeriu Bologa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UFC Sanovita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ACS Unirea Curtești the free kick. A collision led to UFC Sanovita getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Valeriu Bologa hit a great ball. After 6 played minutes UFC Sanovita got a freekick which was hit by Valeriu Bologa. 8 minutes into the match, UFC Sanovita's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Hapaina came free, but Valer Popoacă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cosmin Valerian hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Ionică Dabija, 11 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The supporters of ACS Unirea Curtești booed when UFC Sanovita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valeriu Bologa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dacian Antohi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Valer Popoacă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Petru Băsescu, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 21 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Leonardo Ibar was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Valer Popoacă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduard Hapaina in the 24th minute of the match. Eduard Hapaina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valer Popoacă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduard Hapaina in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st play minute Dacian Antohi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Valer Popoacă. 1-0. Valer Popoacă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduard Hapaina in the 34th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in ACS Unirea Curtești fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! Leonardo Ibar went to the wrong direction when Bogdan Ignea was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. With his leg Valer Popoacă managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when ACS Unirea Curtești's Dacian Antohi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eduard Hapaina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Petru Băsescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. UFC Sanovita's supporters rose to their feet, but Petru Băsescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Ibar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Petru Băsescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eduard Hapaina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valer Popoacă having to interfere. When ACS Unirea Curtești's Eduard Hapaina in 55 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Valer Popoacă guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of UFC Sanovita:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ACS Unirea Curtești:s goal. Ionică Dabija walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Eduard Hapaina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Valer Popoacă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Eduard Hapaina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valer Popoacă was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. In the 68th minute, Cosmin Valerian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Dacian Antohi sped through UFC Sanovita's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Valer Popoacă. After some careless play in the UFC Sanovita defense, Eduard Hapaina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valer Popoacă. The UFC Sanovita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valer Popoacă should have stopped the shot. During the 77th minute of the match Valeriu Bologa completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Valeriu Bologa a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 78 played minutes UFC Sanovita got a freekick which was hit by Valeriu Bologa. After having played for 82 minutes, Dacian Antohi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ACS Unirea Curtești's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dacian Antohi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Petru Băsescu fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UFC Sanovita's protests and gave Petru Băsescu a yellow card for diving instead. After recieving a nice pass, ACS Unirea Curtești's Ionică Dabija tried to score from far away in the 88th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 90 minutes into the game, Dacian Antohi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Valer Popoacă was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 95th minute, Dacian Antohi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 97 minutes into the match, UFC Sanovita's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Hapaina came free, but Valer Popoacă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the ACS Unirea Curtești players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
