Spectators: 7534 (Terracing: 5652, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mihnea Aldea started the match with the kick off. After 2 minutes, Șerban Panțuru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the International ACL and the FC Carlsberg players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, International ACL's Șerban Panțuru got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Laurențiu Panaitescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 12 minutes of play, FC Carlsberg's Laurențiu Panaitescu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pavel Iuzbașa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in FC Carlsberg's zone, Horia Curteanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul Poplăcan came out of the goal and Horia Curteanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th match minute, FC Carlsberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iulian Ghiondea to maneuver through the defense. If Basarab Şoimu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pompiliu Curăreanu charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pompiliu Curăreanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Carlsberg! The referee gave International ACL a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dan Udrescu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Carlsberg's Paul Poplăcan. 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Basarab Şoimu was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Felix Moisescu fired a really elegant long shot, but Pavel Iuzbașa threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Horia Curteanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valeriu Răducanu charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valeriu Răducanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 59 played minutes FC Carlsberg got a freekick which was hit by Valeriu Răducanu. Pavel Iuzbașa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laurențiu Panaitescu went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 66th minute, Mihnea Aldea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pavel Iuzbașa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teodor Buhăescu's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Horia Curteanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Paul Poplăcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute Horia Curteanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Poplăcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, International ACL's Șerban Panțuru got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Laurențiu Panaitescu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pavel Iuzbașa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Iordache Şelaru hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. A collision led to FC Carlsberg getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Mihnea Aldea hit a great ball. Dragoş Ţintea charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dragoş Ţintea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, International ACL's Șerban Panțuru got a free kick in the 96th minute. Iulian Ghiondea shot from long distance in the 97th minute, but Pavel Iuzbașa was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. The FC Carlsberg supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Carlsberg would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
