The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurel Şunda got free with Paul Poplăcan in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 11 minutes, Ali Nejat Kaçan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corobesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Nejat Kaçan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to FC Carlsberg getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Sorin Stanciu hit a great ball. Paul Poplăcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Nejat Kaçan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihnea Aldea in the 21st minute of play forced Corobesti's goalkeeper Ionică Arseni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurel Şunda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Poplăcan having to interfere. Felix Bulă struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Paul Poplăcan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corobesti. A hard shot by Aurel Şunda from long distance, 38 minutes into the match, got Paul Poplăcan's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Paul Poplăcan came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Corobesti's Aurel Şunda. But to his dismay, Aurel Şunda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After having played for 45 minutes, Aurel Şunda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corobesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurel Şunda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurel Şunda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mihnea Aldea made a kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Dorin Botnaru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corobesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorin Botnaru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paul Poplăcan came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Corobesti's Aurel Şunda. But to his dismay, Aurel Şunda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 60th minute, Felix Bulă made a precise shot to the right of Paul Poplăcan. FC Carlsberg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Bulă in the 65th minute of play forced FC Carlsberg's goalkeeper Paul Poplăcan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cezar Goma's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paul Poplăcan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. The supporters of Corobesti booed when FC Carlsberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valeriu Răducanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felix Bulă struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Paul Poplăcan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corobesti. Paul Poplăcan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Bulă's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. After some careless play in the FC Carlsberg defense, Aurel Şunda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paul Poplăcan. The FC Carlsberg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paul Poplăcan should have stopped the shot. When Corobesti's Felix Bulă in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Carlsberg's goalie prevented a goal. Teodor Buhăescu charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodor Buhăescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Teodor Buhăescu hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Felix Bulă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Leonard Bourceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in FC Carlsberg's zone, Leonard Bourceanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul Poplăcan came out of the goal and Leonard Bourceanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the game, Corobesti's Felix Bulă nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paul Poplăcan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. If Mihăiţă Mustățea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
