Ali Nejat Kaçan ran back to his position shaking his head. Leonard Bourceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 20 minutes, Aurel Şunda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corobesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurel Şunda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eric Mischie came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Corobesti's Leonard Bourceanu. But to his dismay, Leonard Bourceanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Iustin Tremurici fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Young Boys Sibiu's protests and gave Iustin Tremurici a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Iustin Tremurici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Felix Bulă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eric Mischie was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. A collision led to Young Boys Sibiu getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Mircea Taşcău hit a great ball. Eric Mischie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Nejat Kaçan in the 38th minute of play.

The wind increased when Felix Bulă made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Felix Bulă recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eric Mischie. Felix Bulă showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. If Ali Nejat Kaçan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Bulă got free with Eric Mischie in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonard Bourceanu in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eric Mischie, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 63rd minute, Corobesti's Aurel Şunda dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. When Leonard Bourceanu came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Corobesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonard Bourceanu couldn't finish the play. Ali Nejat Kaçan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Eric Mischie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eric Mischie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Bulă in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Corobesti's Aurel Şunda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eric Mischie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. 83 minutes into the match, Leonard Bourceanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eric Mischie. Young Boys Sibiu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonard Bourceanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Bulă in the 86th minute of play forced Young Boys Sibiu's goalkeeper Eric Mischie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Aurel Şunda dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eric Mischie, 0-9. If Ali Nejat Kaçan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
