If Romeo Uncuţă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octav Nicolaescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Paul Poplăcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeo Uncuţă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Poplăcan having to interfere. If Romeo Uncuţă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paul Poplăcan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Uncuţă in the 14th minute of play. Paul Poplăcan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octav Nicolaescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Vali Buligan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Paul Poplăcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeo Uncuţă took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paul Poplăcan. Paul Poplăcan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Mihnea Aldea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laurențiu Panaitescu struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Horaţiu Vintilescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Carlsberg. 40 minutes into the match, FC Carlsberg's goal looked a bit too open when Octav Nicolaescu came free, but Paul Poplăcan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Teodor Buhăescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Carlsberg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Temisoara the free kick. Teodor Buhăescu hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Răzvan Arnăuțescu hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Valeriu Răducanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horaţiu Vintilescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Romeo Uncuţă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romeo Uncuţă in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paul Poplăcan saved FC Carlsberg from getting behind. Horaţiu Vintilescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihnea Aldea in the 57th minute of play. After 58 played minutes Temisoara got a freekick which was hit by Răzvan Arnăuțescu. When Octav Nicolaescu came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Temisoara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octav Nicolaescu couldn't finish the play. When Valeriu Răducanu fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Carlsberg's protests and gave Valeriu Răducanu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Carlsberg getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Valeriu Răducanu hit a great ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Octav Nicolaescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Temisoara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octav Nicolaescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paul Poplăcan was a little too slow when Tudor Stancu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 1-2. If Laurențiu Panaitescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Temisoara defense, Mihnea Aldea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horaţiu Vintilescu. The Temisoara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horaţiu Vintilescu should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd minute, Octav Nicolaescu made a precise shot to the right of Paul Poplăcan. FC Carlsberg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Laurențiu Panaitescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horaţiu Vintilescu having to interfere. Vali Buligan kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The Temisoara supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Temisoara would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
