The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucrețiu Albu got free with Paul Poplăcan in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Laurențiu Panaitescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucrețiu Albu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Poplăcan having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, FC Carlsberg's goal looked a bit too open when Lucrețiu Albu came free, but Paul Poplăcan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute, Iosif Pandele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucrețiu Albu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Poplăcan having to interfere. After having played for 88 minutes, Valeriu Răducanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Carlsberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valeriu Răducanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucrețiu Albu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Poplăcan having to interfere. Paul Poplăcan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucrețiu Albu went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score.
