In the 18th minute Răzvan Arnăuțescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionică Arseni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Felix Bulă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horaţiu Vintilescu was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. 25 minutes into the match, Romeo Uncuţă had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ionică Arseni. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Ali Nejat Kaçan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corobesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Ali Nejat Kaçan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horaţiu Vintilescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th minute, Felix Bulă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Felix Bulă took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Horaţiu Vintilescu to make any attempt to save it. Felix Bulă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Horaţiu Vintilescu made a huge save. Horaţiu Vintilescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Nejat Kaçan, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Bulă in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horaţiu Vintilescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Horaţiu Vintilescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Bulă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Bulă in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horaţiu Vintilescu saved Temisoara from getting behind. In the 63rd match minute, Temisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vali Buligan to maneuver through the defense. 67 minutes into the game, Corobesti's Leonard Bourceanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Horaţiu Vintilescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Ali Nejat Kaçan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 77 minutes, Răzvan Arnăuțescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Temisoara and the Corobesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Leonard Bourceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 94 minutes, Ioan Maftei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corobesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ioan Maftei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Corobesti were the better team. Corobesti's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
