Spectators: 7568 (Terracing: 5677, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 151) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gabriel Bâlea started the match with the kick off. Călin Drăgoescu came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Young Boys Sibiu's Lucrețiu Albu. But to his dismay, Lucrețiu Albu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Gabriel Bâlea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Young Boys Sibiu's goalkeeper Eric Mischie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florin Ciocoiu. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iosif Pandele during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Young Boys Sibiu getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Iosif Pandele hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Young Boys Sibiu's goalkeeper Eric Mischie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florin Ciocoiu. After having played for 14 minutes, Florin Ciocoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Los Angeles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florin Ciocoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tudor Albulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Mischie having to interfere. 17 minutes into the game, Ilie Popean was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Young Boys Sibiu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Los Angeles the free kick. A collision led to Young Boys Sibiu getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Ilie Popean hit a great ball. Young Boys Sibiu's Eric Mischie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florin Ciocoiu in the 19th minute of play. Călin Drăgoescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vlad Ilieș in the 20th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Gabriel Bâlea got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Young Boys Sibiu's Eric Mischie got control of the ball when Florin Ciocoiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 30 played minutes Young Boys Sibiu got a freekick which was hit by Iustin Tremurici. Rareș Onitiu hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vlad Ilieș in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Călin Drăgoescu saved FC Los Angeles from getting behind. After a rather tough play, FC Los Angeles's Tudor Albulescu got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Young Boys Sibiu's zone, Florin Ciocoiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Mischie came out of the goal and Florin Ciocoiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eric Mischie made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Florin Ciocoiu sent off a good shot on target. In the 40th minute of the match FC Los Angeles got a corner. Young Boys Sibiu's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ion Dordea ran over to the corner to take the kick. The FC Los Angeles players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Young Boys Sibiu were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucrețiu Albu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Young Boys Sibiu's zone, Florin Ciocoiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Mischie came out of the goal and Florin Ciocoiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vlad Ilieș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Călin Drăgoescu having to interfere. After 75 played minutes FC Los Angeles got a freekick which was hit by Tudor Albulescu. 76 minutes into the match, Lucrețiu Albu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Călin Drăgoescu. FC Los Angeles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucrețiu Albu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Young Boys Sibiu's Leonard Gușatu has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 83rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Florin Ciocoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Los Angeles's supporters rose to their feet, but Florin Ciocoiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eric Mischie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, FC Los Angeles's Călin Drăgoescu got control of the ball when Vlad Ilieș tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 96 minutes, Florin Ciocoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Los Angeles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florin Ciocoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Young Boys Sibiu's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
