After some careless play in the Frunzisul defense, Aurel Şunda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Călin Piț. The Frunzisul fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Călin Piț should have stopped the shot. Felix Bulă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Frunzisul's zone, Felix Bulă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Călin Piț came out of the goal and Felix Bulă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonard Bourceanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Călin Piț read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sorin Boia got free with Ionică Arseni in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felix Bulă to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Octavian Calboreanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Aurel Şunda took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Călin Piț to make any attempt to save it. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Aurel Şunda got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Felix Bulă, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 75 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Călin Piț was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 78 minutes into the game, Corobesti's Aurel Şunda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Călin Piț made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. After 81 minutes, Dragoş Ichim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Frunzisul and the Corobesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Corobesti booed when Frunzisul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dragoş Ichim didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Ali Nejat Kaçan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corobesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Nejat Kaçan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Aurel Şunda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Felix Bulă took a quick shot and it went in 2-6 without a chance for Călin Piț to make any attempt to save it. Corobesti's Aurel Şunda got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Călin Piț made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Felix Bulă sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Corobesti left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Frunzisul.
