Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sandu Hizo started the match with the kick off. With his leg Sever Doloman managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Hidegvolgy CF's Ciprian Ielciu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ferdinand Codreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Sever Doloman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ferdinand Codreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sever Doloman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristi Constantin in the 15th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandu Hizo in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iosif Chioreanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Iosif Chioreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandu Hizo in the 21st minute of the match. Sandu Hizo struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Iosif Chioreanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Utd Galati. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Ferdinand Codreanu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Basarab Pădure fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iosif Chioreanu having to interfere. Sandu Hizo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th match minute, Hidegvolgy CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ştefan Saşca to maneuver through the defense. Hidegvolgy CF's Iosif Chioreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rareș Alexiu in the 45th minute of play. The Hidegvolgy CF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Utd Galati were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ferdinand Codreanu to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Hidegvolgy CF's goal looked a bit too open when Andrei Iftimescu came free, but Iosif Chioreanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute Ciprian Ielciu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sever Doloman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sandu Hizo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandu Hizo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute Ferdinand Codreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sever Doloman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute, Basarab Pădure sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Hidegvolgy CF's Iosif Chioreanu didn't even have to move. Andrei Iftimescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iosif Chioreanu having to interfere. Hidegvolgy CF succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Utd Galati had controlled the match.
