After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Sandu Hizo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Utd Galati's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandu Hizo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pavel Aluchei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Marcusi FCM getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Codrin Vişoiu hit a great ball. In the 19th minute Iustin Aldulea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Aluchei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonard Mendrea charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonard Mendrea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leonard Mendrea kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandu Hizo in the 25th minute of play forced Marcusi FCM's goalkeeper Pavel Aluchei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Codruț Bute recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Costin Suciu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Sever Doloman made a huge save. If Basarab Pădure had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Sandu Hizo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Marcusi FCM's zone, Maxim Roşu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pavel Aluchei came out of the goal and Maxim Roşu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sever Doloman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Costin Suciu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 42 minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Sandu Hizo notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Marcusi FCM's Pavel Aluchei. Pavel Aluchei was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Codruț Bute stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Codruț Bute had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sever Doloman. Utd Galati's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Codruț Bute was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 64th match minute, Marcusi FCM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Iftode to maneuver through the defense. Sever Doloman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codruț Bute in the 70th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Utd Galati's zone, Dan Seremet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sever Doloman came out of the goal and Dan Seremet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sever Doloman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costin Suciu in the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marcusi FCM's goalkeeper Pavel Aluchei, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Basarab Pădure sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandu Hizo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavel Aluchei having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Costin Suciu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Sever Doloman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Utd Galati players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Marcusi FCM.
