Sever Doloman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristi Lupșoiu in the 34th minute of the match. Cristi Lupșoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Doloman having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Cristi Lupșoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ampoita's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristi Lupșoiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sever Doloman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Utd Galati's goalkeeper Sever Doloman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sandu Hizo made a kick off.
