Ioan Neacșu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihail Tudorache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mircea Rucăreanu fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Teodoresti FC's protests and gave Mircea Rucăreanu a yellow card for diving instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Octav Condeescu to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Iurie Gâdea notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of ViperX's Eusebiu Bălăiță. Eusebiu Bălăiță was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Stratulat in the 88th minute of play forced ViperX's goalkeeper Eusebiu Bălăiță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Silviu Niculiță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teodoresti FC's Iurie Gâdea got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, ViperX's goal looked a bit too open when Mihnea Fărcășan came free, but Eusebiu Bălăiță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eusebiu Bălăiță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihnea Fărcășan in the 96th minute of play.
