The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute of the match Matei Panciu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pavel Aluchei skillfully saved the ball. After 4 played minutes Marcusi FCM got a freekick which was hit by Dan Seremet. Denis Secară received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Pavel Aluchei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Codrin Bărbulescu struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Pavel Aluchei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gropnita AS. Codrin Bărbulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Denis Secară managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gropnita AS's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Secară was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pavel Aluchei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pavel Aluchei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Codrin Bărbulescu went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Denis Secară sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gropnita AS's Marius Ghercioiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codruț Bute in the 22nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Denis Secară put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Pavel Aluchei. In the 27th minute Codrin Bărbulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Aluchei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Denis Secară sped through Marcusi FCM's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pavel Aluchei. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Codruț Bute was the one to do the kick off. In the 64th minute Codrin Bărbulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Aluchei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Marcusi FCM's Dan Seremet got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute, Marcusi FCM's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Denis Secară fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Marcusi FCM's Pavel Aluchei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Marcusi FCM from getting a goal against them. With his leg Pavel Aluchei managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Gropnita AS's Denis Secară fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Iosif Tremurici kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 81 minutes in the game, Denis Secară dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Codruț Bute notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Gropnita AS's Marius Ghercioiu. Marius Ghercioiu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Denis Secară could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Pavel Aluchei made a huge save. When Codrin Bărbulescu came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Gropnita AS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Codrin Bărbulescu couldn't finish the play. Gropnita AS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
