The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mihăiţă Iftode lost his temper 5 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 5th minute, one of 11 Zanateci:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for 11 Zanateci. When the match had been going on for 7 minutes, A.S. Stefy Club's Ivan Ţurlău got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cătălin Tătăruşanu. A collision led to A.S. Stefy Club getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Ivan Ţurlău hit a great ball. Mihail Malcoci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucian Ecobescu charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucian Ecobescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lucian Ecobescu hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Mihail Malcoci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodor Cornoiu having to interfere. If Petrică Donose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, 11 Zanateci's goal looked a bit too open when Petrică Donose came free, but Cătălin Tătăruşanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cătălin Tătăruşanu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Petrică Donose showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 34 minute of play. Cătălin Tătăruşanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Petrică Donose's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Cătălin Damian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Cătălin Tătăruşanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihail Malcoci in the 44th minute of play forced A.S. Stefy Club's goalkeeper Teodor Cornoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cătălin Damian's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cătălin Tătăruşanu firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mihail Malcoci was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th match minute, 11 Zanateci was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ion Ţintă to maneuver through the defense. 11 Zanateci's Cătălin Tătăruşanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cătălin Damian in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rd minute Petrică Donose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cătălin Tătăruşanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cătălin Tătăruşanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cătălin Damian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, A.S. Stefy Club's Teodor Cornoiu got control of the ball when Mihail Malcoci tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 70 minutes, Vintilă Găvan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.S. Stefy Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vintilă Găvan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to 11 Zanateci getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Ion Ţintă hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Mihail Malcoci managed to get in a good position for a shot. 11 Zanateci's supporters rose to their feet, but Mihail Malcoci was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodor Cornoiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 11 Zanateci's Niculae Neacșu got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind 11 Zanateci's goalkeeper Cătălin Tătăruşanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th match minute, 11 Zanateci was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ion Ţintă to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute Cătălin Damian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cătălin Tătăruşanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A.S. Stefy Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
