When Narcis Miniș fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vargata's protests and gave Narcis Miniș a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Narcis Miniș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute of the match, Octav Condeescu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Costin Logofeteanu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of ViperX booed when Vargata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandu Arvinte didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 22 minutes, Mihail Tudorache made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Vargata's Costin Logofeteanu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 25 minutes of play, Vargata's Aurel Zmărăndescu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eusebiu Bălăiță was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eusebiu Bălăiță took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calistrat Cunea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Octav Condeescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Costin Logofeteanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Vargata's goal looked a bit too open when Octav Condeescu came free, but Costin Logofeteanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mihail Tudorache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurel Zmărăndescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Eusebiu Bălăiță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusebiu Bălăiță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurel Zmărăndescu in the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurel Zmărăndescu in the 44th minute of play forced ViperX's goalkeeper Eusebiu Bălăiță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basarab Giurăscu charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basarab Giurăscu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Basarab Giurăscu kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. In the 48th minute of the match Albert Tirulescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Costin Logofeteanu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurel Zmărăndescu was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Aurel Zmărăndescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mihail Tudorache's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Costin Logofeteanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Eusebiu Bălăiță made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Calistrat Cunea sent off a good shot on target. In the 68thth minute of the game Aurel Zmărăndescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ViperX's Eusebiu Bălăiță was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emanuel Jucan lost his temper 75 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Narcis Miniș shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Aurel Zmărăndescu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 84th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 87th minute, Aurel Zmărăndescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th minute, ViperX's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Calistrat Cunea fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Petrică Popa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vargata's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
