With a left leg Teodor Cornoiu saved A.S. Stefy Club from getting behind. After a rather tough play, A.S. Stefy Club's Lucian Ecobescu got a free kick in the 13th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Aurel Zmărăndescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teodor Cornoiu. A.S. Stefy Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aurel Zmărăndescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Aurel Zmărăndescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodor Cornoiu having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Petrică Donose reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Costin Logofeteanu. The goal made the score 1-2. 31 minutes into the match, A.S. Stefy Club's goal looked a bit too open when Calistrat Cunea came free, but Teodor Cornoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costin Logofeteanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cătălin Damian went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. When Petrică Donose came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the A.S. Stefy Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petrică Donose couldn't finish the play. When Cătălin Damian fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.S. Stefy Club's protests and gave Cătălin Damian a yellow card for diving instead. Cătălin Damian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Costin Logofeteanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Narcis Miniș kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Petrică Donose's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Costin Logofeteanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 49th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Aurel Zmărăndescu made the kick off in the second half. A.S. Stefy Club's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Aurel Zmărăndescu 54 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-3. Costin Logofeteanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petrică Donose, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in A.S. Stefy Club fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Vargata. Narcis Miniș stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Teodor Cornoiu. 2-4. Costin Logofeteanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cătălin Damian in the 68th minute of the match. Petrică Donose recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 83 minutes into the match, A.S. Stefy Club's goal looked a bit too open when Aurel Zmărăndescu came free, but Teodor Cornoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Calistrat Cunea took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Teodor Cornoiu to make any attempt to save it. In the 92nd minute, Calistrat Cunea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 97th match minute, A.S. Stefy Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucian Ecobescu to maneuver through the defense. Vargata's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
