Spectators: 6630 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Codruț Bute made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd match minute, Vargata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basarab Giurăscu to maneuver through the defense. Codruț Bute received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Costin Logofeteanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 8 minutes into the game, Narcis Miniș was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vargata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marcusi FCM the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vargata fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! 0-2 became the score in the 12th minute when Costin Suciu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Codruț Bute fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costin Logofeteanu having to interfere. Aurel Zmărăndescu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pavel Aluchei came out and tried to block the shot, but Aurel Zmărăndescu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 17th minute. Costin Logofeteanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Codruț Bute, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Adam Iftode notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Vargata's Costin Logofeteanu. Costin Logofeteanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sabin Arseni charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sabin Arseni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute Aurel Zmărăndescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Aluchei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vargata fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Sandu Troncotă hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After the first half Marcusi FCM were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Calistrat Cunea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes, Marcusi FCM's Leonard Mendrea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Costin Logofeteanu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Marcusi FCM reached it. Codruț Bute received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Costin Logofeteanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calistrat Cunea in the 60th minute of play forced Marcusi FCM's goalkeeper Pavel Aluchei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 minutes, Vintilă Gâgea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vargata and the Marcusi FCM players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Vargata getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Vintilă Gâgea hit a great ball. Dan Seremet's late challenge caught a Vargata's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dan Seremet helped the player get up and apologised. Costin Logofeteanu made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Costin Suciu sent off a good shot on target. Costin Suciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Costin Logofeteanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcusi FCM's Codruț Bute got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcusi FCM played a much better game than Vargata and deserved their victory. The Vargata players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
