The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mihnea Gheorghe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Emanuel Stelian helped the player get up and apologised. Aurel Dobrin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Călin Lungu in the 8th minute of the match. After 12 minutes of play, Liga Lui BuNiCu's Iosif Barbu made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nechifor Niculiță was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Filip Munteanu got free with Nechifor Niculiță in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Galacticos's zone, Güngör Çolakoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nechifor Niculiță came out of the goal and Güngör Çolakoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Liga Lui BuNiCu getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Sergiu Istrătescu hit a great ball. Felix Ţopescu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 25th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Liga Lui BuNiCu's Emanuel Stelian got his second yellow card of the match in the 27th minute. The referee ordered Emanuel Stelian off the ground. The supporters of Galacticos booed when Liga Lui BuNiCu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Stelian didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute of the match, Güngör Çolakoğlu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nechifor Niculiță was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
