With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horea Geamănu in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Hurgoi saved Plesa SC from getting behind. The supporters of Plastin booed when Plesa SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pompiliu Tilea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Horea Geamănu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Plastin's supporters rose to their feet, but Horea Geamănu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Hurgoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sebastian Bocu struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Alexandru Onitiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Plesa SC. Emanuel Hurgoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horea Geamănu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Plastin's Martin Penaru got a free kick in the 20th minute. Nicolae Aldescu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 21st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Sebastian Bocu in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alexandru Onitiu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 24th minute Stelian Greblă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandru Onitiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 25 played minutes Plastin got a freekick which was hit by Martin Penaru. 27 minutes into the match, Matei Roman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Hurgoi. Plesa SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matei Roman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Matei Roman sped through Plesa SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emanuel Hurgoi. In the 38th minute, Matei Roman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuel Hurgoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Emanuel Hurgoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horea Geamănu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stelian Greblă to make the kick off. A collision led to Plesa SC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Albert Măgherușan hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Plesa SC's Pompiliu Tilea got a free kick in the 54th minute. Sebastian Bocu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandru Onitiu having to interfere. Ion Zeciu hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Plastin's Alexandru Onitiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Bocu in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute Horea Geamănu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Hurgoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Hurgoi made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Matei Roman sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Stelian Greblă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexandru Onitiu was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. If Sebastian Bocu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stelian Greblă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Plastin supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Plastin would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
