Spectators: 6732 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 10) Daniel Pavelescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matei Roman's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Plastin's Horea Geamănu got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 17th minute Horea Geamănu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Pavelescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 27 minutes, Horea Geamănu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plastin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horea Geamănu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Horea Geamănu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mugur Angelescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Pavelescu having to make a save. Horea Geamănu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horea Geamănu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Pavelescu having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Vajla CSM's zone, Matei Roman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Pavelescu came out of the goal and Matei Roman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horea Geamănu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Daniel Pavelescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Plastin were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Horea Geamănu made the kick off in the second half. Iosif Costandache's late challenge caught a Plastin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iosif Costandache helped the player get up and apologised. After 52 played minutes Vajla CSM got a freekick which was hit by Iosif Costandache. Matei Roman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Pavelescu having to make a save. Vajla CSM's Daniel Pavelescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Vajla CSM from getting a goal against them. In the 61st minute, Horea Geamănu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Daniel Pavelescu. The goal made the score 0-3. When Horea Geamănu came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Plastin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horea Geamănu couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, one of Vajla CSM:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vajla CSM. Vajla CSM:s Daniel Pavelescu showed great skill when he stopped Matei Latarețu:s penalty. After 75 minutes Vajla CSM's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Matei Latarețu who took care of the corner kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Horea Geamănu advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-4 in the 75th minute. Vajla CSM's Daniel Pavelescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horea Geamănu in the 82nd minute of play. Matei Roman struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Daniel Pavelescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Plastin. In the 84th minute, Francisc Turbatu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Plastin booed when Vajla CSM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iulian Oprea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Pavelescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horea Geamănu in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Vajla CSM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ionică Honciu to maneuver through the defense. If Horea Geamănu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
