Eugen Băbescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Rasti AS booed when FC Pantelimon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurențiu Trapcea didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugen Băbescu got free with Costică Hapaina in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th minute, Rasti AS's Eugen Băbescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Costică Hapaina. Costică Hapaina yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 19th minute Horia Zâncă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costică Hapaina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavius Stroie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, FC Pantelimon's Martin Stroiescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Calistrat Trişcu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Oancea in the 30th minute of play forced Rasti AS's goalkeeper Calistrat Trişcu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 36 in the game by Eugen Băbescu from a close distance when the talented Costică Hapaina managed to make a qualified save. FC Pantelimon's players were relieved. From close distance Eugen Băbescu pressed in the 2-0 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 39 minutes into the game. Octavian Zbârcea charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Octavian Zbârcea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rasti AS made a substitution. Corneliu Maiorescu replaced Petre Cocârlă. In the 47th minute, Octavian Zbârcea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eugen Băbescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Eugen Băbescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Pantelimon's Costică Hapaina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Pantelimon's zone, Horia Zâncă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Costică Hapaina came out of the goal and Horia Zâncă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eugen Băbescu scored 3-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Costică Hapaina, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 63 played minutes FC Pantelimon got a freekick which was hit by Șerban Voica. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Băbescu in the 68th minute of play forced FC Pantelimon's goalkeeper Costică Hapaina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horia Zâncă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costică Hapaina having to interfere. A collision led to FC Pantelimon getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Iustinian Jupân hit a great ball. If Horia Zâncă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Stroiescu kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. A collision led to FC Pantelimon getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Petru Macarie hit a great ball. In the 95th minute of the match Dacian Codrea shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Costică Hapaina showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Pantelimon players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rasti AS.
