In the 22nd minute Martin Stroiescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodor Cozac saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 minutes of play, Papa's David Manta made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Costică Hapaina was left in no man's land by his defense there! FC Pantelimon's Costică Hapaina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Manta in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Martin Stroiescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Teodor Cozac. Martin Stroiescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. If Daniel Tripon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Filip Butuc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Daniel Tripon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Papa's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Tripon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Costică Hapaina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 51st match minute, Papa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viorel Tăbăcaru to maneuver through the defense. Emanuel Oancea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodor Cozac having to interfere. Octavian Zbârcea charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Octavian Zbârcea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Costică Hapaina was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Octavian Alexandroae's late challenge caught a FC Pantelimon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octavian Alexandroae helped the player get up and apologised. Teodor Cozac showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Stroiescu in the 88th minute of the match. When Marian Boltașu fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Papa's protests and gave Marian Boltașu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th match minute, Papa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marian Boltașu to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Tripon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Costică Hapaina made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Daniel Tripon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Papa's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
