Spectators: 6722 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ioan Orescu made the kick off which started today's match. After 3 minutes of play, Green Eagles FC's Gigel Vrejiu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Doru Popoiu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cătălin Popoiu hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Gigel Vrejiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 9th minute, Gigel Vrejiu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Doru Popoiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 26th match minute, Somcutza UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Topală to maneuver through the defense. If Gigel Vrejiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Gigel Vrejiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doru Popoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Ionică Mercea made a precise shot to the right of Doru Popoiu. Somcutza UFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. 44 minutes into the game, Iustinian Barbăneagră was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Somcutza UFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Green Eagles FC the free kick. The supporters of Green Eagles FC booed when Somcutza UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iustinian Barbăneagră didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gigel Vrejiu to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Gigel Vrejiu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Doru Popoiu. That made the score 2-4 in the 52 minute of play. Viorel Cotoi kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Somcutza UFC's Dorel Burdea broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 60 minutes into the match, Somcutza UFC's goalkeeper Doru Popoiu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ionică Mercea. After having played for 64 minutes, Gigel Vrejiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Green Eagles FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gigel Vrejiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute, Ionică Mercea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Doru Popoiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. Doru Popoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Vrejiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Green Eagles FC's Eric Ghețea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iustin Enoaia in the 86th minute of play. In the 95thth minute of the game Iustin Enoaia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Green Eagles FC's Eric Ghețea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Green Eagles FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
