Spectators: 7474 (Terracing: 5607, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nicodim Sinulescu kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Papa getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Filip Butuc hit a great ball. Olimpiu Tudor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 16 played minutes -MZE- FC Bals got a freekick which was hit by Nicodim Sinulescu. After some careless play in the -MZE- FC Bals defense, Daniel Tripon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Măndica. The -MZE- FC Bals fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Măndica should have stopped the shot. Daniel Tripon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Cristian Măndica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Manta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Măndica having to interfere. Papa's Teodor Cozac proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Papa from getting a goal against them. 41 minutes into the match, -MZE- FC Bals's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Tripon came free, but Cristian Măndica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, David Manta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Papa's supporters rose to their feet, but David Manta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Măndica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If David Manta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Manta to make the kick off. Daniel Tripon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Măndica having to interfere. Vasile Platon hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. David Manta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 63 minutes, Daniel Tripon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Papa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Tripon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Tripon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If David Manta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 played minutes -MZE- FC Bals got a freekick which was hit by Aron Ciucă. Cristian Măndica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Manta in the 76th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicodim Sinulescu in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodor Cozac saved Papa from getting behind. Olimpiu Tudor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Tripon struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Cristian Măndica didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Papa. When the final whistle sounded Papa left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than -MZE- FC Bals.
