Marin Poalelungi's late challenge caught a Resita Sport Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iustin Brădescu got free with Ferdinand Tincu in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Octav Dersidan hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Horaţiu Arieșan in the 92nd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Ionică Scutaru's left hand side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Resita Sport Club had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
