Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tudor Bâru started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Tudor Bâru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iulian Cosor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ionică Scutaru came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Valea Calugareasca F.C.'s Alfredo Di Stefano. But to his dismay, Alfredo Di Stefano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tudor Bâru in the 12th minute of play forced Valea Calugareasca F.C.'s goalkeeper Iulian Cosor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 18 minutes, Alfredo Di Stefano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valea Calugareasca F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Di Stefano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Resita Sport Club booed when Valea Calugareasca F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Di Stefano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Radu Vâtcu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valea Calugareasca F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Resita Sport Club the free kick. After a rather tough play, Valea Calugareasca F.C.'s Radu Vâtcu got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 25 minutes into the game, Alfredo Di Stefano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ionică Scutaru was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tudor Bâru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Valea Calugareasca F.C.'s Iulian Cosor got control of the ball when Dan Duca tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Resita Sport Club booed when Valea Calugareasca F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgil Băcila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iustin Brădescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iulian Cosor having to interfere. Valea Calugareasca F.C.'s Iulian Cosor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Valea Calugareasca F.C. from getting a goal against them. Avram Bocu took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ionică Scutaru. Ionică Scutaru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The Resita Sport Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Valea Calugareasca F.C. were winning 0-3.

In the 57th minute, Dan Duca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Iustin Brădescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iulian Cosor. Valea Calugareasca F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iustin Brădescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Alfredo Di Stefano struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Ionică Scutaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valea Calugareasca F.C.. After 66 played minutes Valea Calugareasca F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Radu Vâtcu. Iustin Brădescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ionică Scutaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Di Stefano in the 76th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the game, Resita Sport Club's Tudor Bâru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iulian Cosor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. 82 minutes into the match, Resita Sport Club's goalkeeper Ionică Scutaru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Avram Bocu. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tudor Bâru in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iulian Cosor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustin Brădescu in the 85th minute of play forced Valea Calugareasca F.C.'s goalkeeper Iulian Cosor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Valea Calugareasca F.C.'s Virgil Băcila got a free kick in the 87th minute. If Alfredo Di Stefano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 92nd minute, Cristi Cobâlcescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aron Urducea hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Valea Calugareasca F.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
