Ferdinand Tincu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Di Stefano in the 15th minute of the match. Alfredo Di Stefano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Tincu having to interfere. If Răzvan Brumă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23 minutes, Irinel Stănciulaş mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valea Calugareasca F.C. and the Vacarea AC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Irinel Stănciulaş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute of the match Gheorghe Udurbac shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iulian Cosor showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Costin Manciulea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iulian Cosor having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Alfredo Di Stefano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ferdinand Tincu. The goal made the score 1-0. After having played for 35 minutes, Irinel Stănciulaş managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valea Calugareasca F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Irinel Stănciulaş was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Virgil Băcila fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Valea Calugareasca F.C.'s protests and gave Virgil Băcila a yellow card for diving instead. Virgil Băcila hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Horaţiu Arieșan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Iulian Cosor. Valea Calugareasca F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 40th minute, Alfredo Di Stefano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ferdinand Tincu. The goal made the score 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Răzvan Brumă in the 46th minute of play forced Valea Calugareasca F.C.'s goalkeeper Iulian Cosor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Costin Manciulea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Iulian Cosor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Răzvan Brumă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leontin Cămărășan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54th match minute, Vacarea AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gigel Acalinei to maneuver through the defense. Leontin Cămărășan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferdinand Tincu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Ferdinand Tincu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfredo Di Stefano went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Ferdinand Tincu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Di Stefano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Irinel Stănciulaş quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 75th match minute, Vacarea AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marin Poalelungi to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Di Stefano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Alfredo Di Stefano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 86 minutes, Alfredo Di Stefano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costin Manciulea ran back to his position shaking his head. 96 minutes into the match, Alfredo Di Stefano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferdinand Tincu. Vacarea AC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredo Di Stefano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Valea Calugareasca F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
